Cisco Catalyst 3750-X Series — End-of-Life & EOSL Dates
The Catalyst 3750-X is a stackable wiring-closet access switch in a one-rack-unit chassis, sold in 24- and 48-port Gigabit copper models with PoE+ on every port and UPOE variants delivering 60W per port from an 1,800W budget. StackWise Plus joins up to nine switches into a 64 Gbps stack with one management address, backward compatible with earlier 3750 stacks, and StackPower pools the dual modular power supplies across four members.
Uplinks come from four interchangeable network modules, from four Gigabit ports to dual 10G SFP+ or 10GBASE-T, plus a service module that adds Flexible NetFlow and switch-to-switch hardware encryption. Hardware MACsec, field-replaceable fans and power supplies, and IP Services licensing with OSPF, EIGRP and BGP support routed access designs.

Cisco Talos and the FBI reported (August 2025) that Static Tundra, a Russian state-sponsored group linked to FSB Center 16, is compromising unpatched and end-of-life Cisco IOS devices via the Smart Install feature (CVE-2018-0171) for long-term espionage. The Catalyst 3750-X is an IOS access-switch line with the Smart Install client feature; units past end of support no longer receive IOS security fixes, so Cisco's guidance for unpatched devices is to disable Smart Install.
