Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series — End-of-Life & EOSL Dates

The Catalyst 6500-E is the enhanced chassis generation of Cisco's modular core and aggregation platform, in six versions from three to thirteen slots, delivering up to 2 Tbps of system capacity at 80 Gbps per slot, or 4 Tbps with two chassis paired in a VSS domain. Supervisors from the Engine 32 through the Supervisor 2T are supported, with 50 to 200 ms supervisor switchover on Sup 720 and Sup 2T systems.

Its reach came from the module catalogue: LAN, WAN and services modules spanning several product generations fit the same chassis, with mixable AC and DC power supplies up to 8,700W, hot-swappable fans, and a vertical-airflow variant built for hot-aisle and cold-aisle rows.
